Chapter 5: Organize Using LionShare >> Using Automated Descriptions
Automated descriptions are created for each LionShare shared files. If a file is obtained from another file sharer, which has descriptive information, then this is retained when the file is downloaded to the Shared folder. LionShare recognizes certain file types and extracts descriptive information about these files. The following file formats are recognized:
• JPEG images - Your digital camera includes descriptive information embedded with each digital image
• Microsoft Office documents - Microsoft Office embeds information with each office document such as Word and PowerPoint.
• OpenOffice documents
• PDF documents
To view these Automated Descriptions:
1. Select the Library tab.
2. Select the desired shared file from the Shared folder.
3. Select the Describe tab to open the Description Editor dialog box.
4. Scroll through the auto-generated information that has been created.
