The Description Editor is the primary tool used to add and view descriptive information (also known as “metadata”) about files shared using LionShare.  The Description Editor allows the user to review descriptive information that has been created automatically or to add new descriptive information to help users find their resources. The editor has the capability to select and edit various parts of the descriptive information by using the Select View pull-down menu. Using the Customize tab allows the user to add and remove items from the metadata format and to save a specific set of descriptive terms for reuse.
