LionShare can be used for organizing your collections whether you are sharing files or not. These tools are useful because they can help users organize and manage a large collection of resources. 
If you have lots of different collections to share, you  can employ Folder tags to find various collections of images, papers, etc.  Folder tags provid the ability to place keywords associated with the folder for searching to locate resources.  These Folders can be nested within each other to be a more useful hierarchical organization of information. 
Additionally, the user can use the Describe functions to add specific descriptive information about each shared files for a more  precise search. LionShare has incorporated some interesting features into the Description Editor that provide the capability to add Permissions and Licenses for how particular shared files might be used.
