Chapter 4: Share Using LionShare >> Adding A New Local Folders

LionShare has the capability to allow the user to create new folders and nest folders within one another.  When adding a new folder, the user can choose to give it a folder name and associate keywords with the folder to help locate contents within the folder.  Additionally, the user can choose to share, or not to share, the content of the folder created. Thus, folders can be used to organize content that is not shared. Shared files can be located in the computer’s Shared directory, or can be located in a designated physical location in the computer’s file system.

A specific folder in the computer file system can be shared by selecting the Physical Location selection box, then Browsing to the desired folder using the Browse feature in the Adding New Folder dialog window. Once you have completed the information in the Adding New Folder dialog box, the folder will be added to the file organizer in the Library. Folders then can be nested within other folders.
